Philanthropy

The Illinois Beta Chapter of Phi Delta Theta uses its influence as an elite men's leadership organization to give back to the community in large ways.

Firstly, our Chapter participates in the philanthropic efforts of the LiveLikeLou Foundation, which funds ALS research and supports families affected by ALS.  This program is linked to our general fraternity due to one of our past brothers, Lou Gehrig, being affected by ALS.  ALS is often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's disease."

In addition to supporting the fight against ALS effort, our chapter has hosted many other philanthropy events, such as food drives for the Southside of Chicago and the distribution of coffee in the winter to campus security.

Our Chapter will continue our efforts in community service and philanthropy so that we may have a positive impact on the world.
